  • A student and I will be using this forum (on-going) to document her work, which she is doing in partnership with a local grassroots EJ group, CleanAirNow. Her assignment is to identify and document the top polluters in two overburdened neighborhoods. She will use federal and state databases (if the state has complied with federal law and made that information publicly accessible) to identify any waste production violations, cases of enforcement, as well as identify the laws or regulations that were violated, who is responsible for enforcement and what type of response or remediation happened after the fact. This project is intended to support her knowledge development of environmental laws, as well as synthesize data for concerned community members, to whom she will present her findings upon completion of the project. Below she will document the following.

    Learning goals:
    Service goals:
    Data sources:
Information she chose to document and why:
    Challenges to overcome and how:
    Final synthesis of information:
    Anything else?
